“Hacer deporte es hacer patria”

Our slogan as a club is “Hacer deporte es hacer patria” which translates to “Making sport is making patriotism”. The slogan was created in 1951 as well, and this phrase reminds us that it is important to do some sporting discipline, since in this way, we are relatively contributing to better development in our country and more awareness in the field of health.

MISSION

Be a team with a leading soccer organization, unique on its type of Santa Ana county periphery in the state of California, USA.

VISION

Promote the development of health through soccer and instilling cultural and sports principles within our club.

HISTORY

Below I will be telling you a brief story about the origins of this club, Zacatepec. I immigrated to these lands in 2001, I came to the United States like the majority of the people do, searching for a more prosperous future and better possibilities in life, and like thousands of other countrymen that have crossed the border with the hope of realizing those dreams. In my personal case, one of the many dreams I have had ever since I came from Cuernavaca to Santa Ana, here in the state of California, was the power of forming my soccer team. Which had a little bit of my roots and in a curtain way reminded me of my land, my state, Morelos. In which I grew up with my family and where I was formed as the man I am today.

So I made a promise to myself, not to forget my dreams and not to forget that dream of being able to form a soccer team, with that Mexican identity and to be able to integrate other countrymen of mine or from other countries wishing to be able to achieve goals outside their places of origin, and with nostalgia for them, to be able to form a soccer team with those roots, history and flavor of my homeland and the homelands and roots of those who would have been integrated with.

That is the story of Club Zacatepec USA, which since March 2006 has been the home and place of expansion, with the intention of being able to provide an option to my countrymen to recreate ourselves through sports, and soccer. Without a doubt, I gave them an opportunity for identity outside of our lands, and to form a great family together.
